Grief support

Grief is not just an emotional experience—it’s physical, mental, spiritual, and deeply personal. At Breathe.Move.Heal CIC, we offer compassionate, body-based grief support that goes beyond words. Led by Tahmina Hakimova-Rees, a Certified Grief Educator and Grief Movement Guide, our approach acknowledges the many faces of grief—bereavement, identity loss, immigration, life transitions, health and more—and creates space for healing in all its forms.

What is a Grief Educator?

As a Certified Grief Educator, Tahmina offers support based on the latest understanding of how people process loss. This includes:

· Creating a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your grief

· Helping you name and understand the types of loss you may be carrying

· Offering education, insight, and compassionate guidance rooted in evidence-based approaches

· Supporting your unique timeline and expression of grief—without rushing or fixing

Grief education sessions can be offered one-to-one or in small groups, either in person or online.

What is a Grief Movement Guide?

Sometimes words aren’t enough. As a Grief Movement Guide, Tahmina integrates gentle somatic movement, breathwork, and sound to help process grief that lives in the body. These sessions may include:

· Breath-led movement to release emotional tension and regulate the nervous system

· Mindful, trauma-aware practices that support emotional expression without overwhelm

· Sound therapy and stillness to soothe, ground, and reconnect with your inner self

· Techniques to help you move from emotional numbness or heaviness into clarity and calm

Grief movement is especially helpful for people who feel “stuck” in their grief, are holding trauma in the body, or find it difficult to access emotions through talking alone.

Who This Is For

· Adults experiencing bereavement or loss of any kind (relationships, identity, home, health, etc.)

· People navigating complex or layered grief, including immigration, career changes, and childhood trauma

· Those feeling emotionally numb, stuck, or overwhelmed by life’s transitions

· Anyone seeking gentle, embodied, and non-verbal ways to heal through grief

Begin Your Healing Journey

Whether you're in the early days of loss or carrying grief you've held for years, you're not alone. Grief support with Tahmina is not about “getting over it”—it’s about moving through it, gently, with compassion and care.

Menopause Yoga

Menopause is a major life transition—not just hormonal, but physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. At Breathe.Move.Heal CIC, we offer supportive menopause yoga and wellbeing practices to help women navigate this phase with greater ease, empowerment, and self-understanding.

Led by Tahmina Hakimova-Rees, a qualified Menopause Yoga Teacher (trained with Petra Coveney, founder of Menopause Yoga®), our sessions combine ancient wisdom with modern therapeutic tools to support you through the challenges—and gifts—of menopause.

What Is Menopause Yoga?

Menopause Yoga is a gentle, evidence-informed approach that blends:

  • Restorative and yin yoga
  • Breathwork and mindfulness
  • Guided meditation and visualisation
  • Education on the stages of menopause
  • Self-reflection, journaling, and group sharing (in workshops)

It’s designed to ease symptoms such as anxiety, fatigue, insomnia, brain fog, hot flushes, low mood, and emotional overwhelm. Most importantly, it creates space to reconnect with your body, your intuition, and your voice—without judgement.

Why Choose This Approach?

Tahmina offers a holistic perspective that integrates:

· Menopause Yoga® principles

· Breath-led movement and sound therapy

· Mindfulness and emotional regulation tools

· Influences from Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine

· Trauma-aware practices for nervous system support

Whether you’re in perimenopause, menopause, or post-menopause, you’ll be guided with care, sensitivity, and deep understanding.

“Menopause is not a breakdown. It’s a breakthrough. It’s an opportunity to pause, reflect, and reclaim your power.”
